A fully procedural space HDRI for Blender — stars, nebula dust, and deep space built entirely with nodes
This World shader node group builds a complete starfield from scratch — 5 independent star layers, procedural nebula dust, and adjustable clear-space regions. The gallery images above show just a few examples of what’s achievable by adjusting a handful of settings.
Features:
- 5 independent star layers — each with its own Star Size, Strength, and Detail, plus custom Star Color for Layers 1 and 2, to build a multi-scale field from tiny background specks to bright foreground stars
- Nebula dust clouds — Dust Scale, Dust From/To Min-Max remapping, Dust Intensity, Dust Color, and Dust Color Variation Factor control the size, contrast, and tint of the dust
- Clear Space controls — Clear Space From/To Min-Max carve out darker, emptier regions of space
- Space Color — sets the base background color of the void
Perfect for:
- Sci-fi and space scene backgrounds
- World/HDRI lighting for spaceship and cosmic renders
- Motion graphics and title sequences needing a starfield backdrop
Included files:
- Blender project (.blend)
