A fully procedural, weathered fire hydrant for Blender — peeling paint, rust, and dirt built entirely with nodes
This fire hydrant model comes with a procedural “Peeling Paint With Rust” material. It uses an upward-facing surface detection node to figure out which parts of the mesh face upward, so rust and dirt accumulate naturally where they would in real life — blended with the base paint color through a Lighten mix.
Features:
- Adjustable Paint Color and Dirt Color
- Peeling Spread — control how much paint peels away
- Dirt Amount — control how much grime builds up
- Rust Brightness — adjust the intensity of rust patches
- Overall Roughness and Noisy Roughness — fine-tune the surface finish
- Peeling seed and Noise Seed — randomize wear patterns for unique variations
- Upward-facing surface detection — rust and dirt collect naturally on top-facing surfaces
Perfect for:
- Urban and industrial environment art
- Street-level scene dressing
- Post-apocalyptic or abandoned settings

Included Files:
