Procedural Realistic Wood – Blender Material

A fully procedural wood material for Blender — node-based, no textures required

This free material is built entirely from a single “WoodGroup” node group feeding a Principled BSDF — no image textures involved. Every part of the look, from grain direction to knot placement, is controlled by exposed parameters you can dial in for your own scene.

Features:

  • Color Brightness — adjust the overall tone of the wood
  • Bumpness Strength — control how pronounced the surface grain bump is
  • Scale — resize the entire pattern to fit any object
  • Knots Seed — randomize knot placement for unique variations
  • Cracks Randomness and Cracks Scale — control how cracks are distributed and sized
  • Grain Scale — fine-tune the wood grain detail
  • Knot Scale — control the size of knots

Perfect for:

  • Flooring, decking, and wood paneling
  • Furniture and prop texturing
  • Crates, pallets, and rustic set dressing
  • Architectural visualization

Included files:

  • Blender project (.blend)
